Developing Education Solutions for Social Sector
Status: Ongoing
With Corporate Social Responsibly becoming mandatory in India under the Companies Act, 2013, the social sector is witnessing rapid expansion. The aim of this project is to streamline and formalise Social Welfare education in India by offering a structured curriculum, providing domain training and certification to new entrants who want to make a career in this growing sector as well as certifying the existing work force.
The visionary project also aims to develop a framework for licensing of Social Welfare professionals in India, which is marked by a huge unorganised workforce that often leads to inefficient implementation and wastage of resources. The objectives of this project is to create an education framework in association with the best national and international education institutions, specialising in the field of social welfare education. This project intends to create 10 key skill development programmes for which it will create a curriculum that will be become a standard course for graduates and post-graduate certification programmes. Another critical aim of this programme is to establish Centres of Excellence in partnership with reputed universities across India that will offer higher certification courses.
