Dr. Sumi Gupta is the Speaker and Panelists along with Lord Rami Ranger, Ms. Kalpana Saroj, Mr. Sandeep Marwah on the topic of New Age Innovation, Research, Education, Training & Skill Development programs, and about strengthening India-UK ties through collaborations in the social sector at the inaugural session of Bharat Conclave 2019 – promoting Indian Crafts and Culture – Celebrating 150 years of Mahatma Gandhi and Khadi, held at India House, High Commission of India, London, on 26^th September, 2019.

CSR Summit Speaker

Dr. Sumi Gupta was the Guest of Honour and elected as one of Panelists at the 5th Global CSR Summit held on October 6th, 2016 at PHD House, New Delhi. The panel discussion was about “the Journey in the Last Two Years – Compliance, Implementation, Experiences and Challenges of PSUs, Industries and Development Sector Organizations”. She laid emphasize on the Companies Act, 2013.

She highlighted that the Companies Act, 2013 is considered to be one of the most significant legal reforms in India, having introduced several new provisions, among which those with regard to the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) have gained utmost importance. With the enactment of this act, CSR becomes even more imperative.
